Tereza Merklová Kyzlinková - soprano

Tereza Merklová Kyzlinková was born in Brno, studied solo canto at Brno Conservatoire and then she graduated from the Academy of Old Music, an institute of the Faculty of Arts , Masaryk University in Brno.

Since 2000 she has been engaged as a soloist in theatres, such as Vienna Chamber Opera, The National Theatre in Prague, Slovac National Theatre, Teatro della Maestranza in Spanish Sevilla, Grand Theatre de Geneve , Estate Theatre in Prague, State Opera Prague, Olomouc Theatre, etc. Since November 2006 she is engaged as a soloist of The National Theatre in Brno, where she sang the following roles : Zerlina ( Don Giovanni), Pamina, Papagena ( The Magic Flute ), Frasquita ( Carmen ), Arsena (The Gypsy Baron), Esmeralda (The Bartered Bride), Anna ( Nabucco ), Rusalka (First nymph), Xenie ( Boris Godunov ), Felicie (Beauty and the Beast ),The Vixen, The Hen Chocholka (The Cunning Little Vixen), Aljeja ( From the House of Dead ), Málinka, Etherea ( Excursion’s of Mr.Brouček ), Eleonora ( Tear's of the knife ), Agafja ( The Marriage ), Anne Frank (Diary of Anne Frank ), Griletta ( Lo Speziale ), Susanna ( The Marriage of Figaro).

She cooperated with conductoers like: Sir Charles Mackerras, Kirill Karabits, Tomáš Hanus, Tomáš Netopil, Jaroslav Kyzlink, Václav Luks, Miloslav Oswald, Jan Štych, Jan Zbavitel, Jakub Klecker, Ondrej Olos , and with well-known directors, such as Pamela Howard, Yannis Kokkos, David Poutney, Jiří Srnec, James Conway, Zdeněk Kaloč, Inga Levant, Jiří Nekvasil, Ondřej Havelka, Heinz Lukas Kindermann, Rocc and many others.

She sang with Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Zlín Philharmony, Czech Virtuosi, Musica Aeterna, Musica Florea, Capella Istropolitana, Collegium 1704, Madrigal Quintett Brno (nomination for EMI award), Hradišťan, etc.

She recorded baroque and contemporary vocal works for Czech Television, Czech Radio, Supraphon, Radio France and ORF.
